Meeting the Higher Self: What a QHHT Session Can Reveal
One of the most meaningful parts of a Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) session can be the experience of connecting with the Higher Self.
In QHHT, the Higher Self is often understood as a wiser, more expansive aspect of ourselves—one that may offer a broader perspective than the everyday mind. For some people, this can feel like connecting with something beyond their usual sense of self. For others, it may simply feel like listening more deeply to their own inner wisdom.
There is no one way this experience should feel.
During hypnosis, the usual mental chatter can become quieter, creating space for deeper thoughts, feelings, memories, and inner experiences to emerge. This can allow you to explore questions and concerns from a different perspective.
No Two Connections Feel the Same
When clients prepare for a QHHT session, two of the most common questions I hear are:
“What if I don't connect with my Higher Self?”
“What if I'm just making it all up?”
These are completely understandable questions.
What is interesting about this work is that no two people experience their Higher Self in quite the same way. There is no single “correct” way for this connection to feel, and there is no test you have to pass.
In my practice, I find that experiences often fall into two general patterns.
The Distinct Voice
For some people, the transition feels clear and noticeable. They describe a sensation of stepping back while a noticeably different, more expansive voice seems to speak through them.
The voice may feel calm, loving, and deeply wise. Some people describe the experience as though a part of themselves they have always known is suddenly easier to hear.
The Subtle Expansion
For others, the connection is much quieter and more integrated.
There is no feeling of a separate presence arriving. You remain fully yourself and aware that it is still “you” speaking. What changes is your perspective.
Your awareness may feel broader. Answers may arise from a quieter place. A situation that once felt overwhelming may suddenly seem easier to understand within a much bigger picture.
Both experiences can be meaningful. In fact, many people naturally move between the two during a single session—experiencing moments of distinct clarity while also having periods of quiet, expanded awareness.
A Client's Experience
One client generously shared their experience of connecting with their Higher Self during a QHHT session: “My experience with Mai was very healing and I feel as though I really strengthened my connection to my intuition. Before going into my session, I was expecting to meet a part of myself (higher self) that I had never connected with before, but during my session I recognized the voice that was speaking as a voice that speaks to me everyday that I just wasn’t trusting enough. I am now able to recognize this voice with much more simplicity and act with more confidence, which was one of my intentions for this session.”Read more client experiences.
What I particularly love about this experience is that the client wasn't expecting the connection to feel familiar. Rather than encountering something completely separate from himself, he recognized a voice he had already been experiencing but had not been fully trusting.
Sometimes the most meaningful discoveries are not completely new. They are things we already know somewhere within us but haven't yet learned to recognize or trust.
Why This Can Matter for Your Journey
If you've read about regression work and imagined a very specific or dramatic experience, it can be reassuring to know that a quieter, more integrated connection can be just as meaningful.
You don't need to see specific images, hear a different voice, or have a particular experience for a session to be worthwhile. Your experience is personal, and there is no need to compare it with someone else's story.
For some people, connecting with the Higher Self offers a different way of looking at their questions and challenges. What once felt like a roadblock may begin to look like an opportunity for learning, growth, or change.
Whether the experience feels like a distinct voice, a quiet inner knowing, a feeling, an image, or simply a shift in perspective, the important thing is to remain curious and open to what emerges.
